History
in 1953, a scientist at Corning accidentally developed a glass-ceramic hybrid, which was lighter than aluminum, stronger than common glass, and as hard as steel. in the early 1960's , "Project Muscle" was created in order to find more ways of strengthening glass. It was later abandoned as it was not commercially needed or wanted. But in 2006, Apple wanted stronger screens for mobile devices, and now gorilla glass is used for Apple and other mobile device screens.
In the future it will be used with computers and other future electronic devices. |
